He/Him. Mediocre Old One: Call of Cthulhu RPG & videogame writer, Chaosium Community Ambassador, Pendragon squire, rampant herbivore. My dogs say hi.
Voyage on, Dean. My place is alongside continuing Call of Cthulhu editor Mike, BRP editor Jason, Pendragon editor of Greg's choice David, my 40-year RuneQuest mate MOB, the amazing Dustin, Chaosium historian Rick, Gloranthan savant Jeff, and others beloved of Greg or newly arrived. We are all us.

To finish up, Chaosium never went bankrupt, it's just celebrated 50 years. Moon Design did not "buy the name" but became part of the ownership group. Superb RPG historian Shannon Appelcline chronicles the history in detail in Designers & Dragons. (5/5) www.designers-and-dragons.com/2018/08/23/c...

You're welcome to reinstate any free works you've done for Call of Cthulhu back on DriveThru, if you want to. As you know I'd like to put "Porphyry & Asphodel" and perhaps "Deadwave" on the Miskatonic Repository, shame on me for not doing the 7e conversions yet. It's going on my Trello board! (4/5)

My co-ambassador Nick found 4 of your Call of Cthulhu PDFs on DriveThru as "Pay What You Want", plus a fixed price bundle. He believed these should be free, like your other 18 titles are. No shade intended, just clarity. If he was wrong, I'd love to help sort it with you. (3/5)

But seeing as we are now on Main: I love to see Call of Cthulhu work from anyone and everyone. Publications can be sold as licensed products with a licensing agreement, or as community content under the terms of the Miskatonic Repository, or released free under the fan-use policy. (2/5)

Whoa, this came at me like a busload of Deadwave zombies! As a current and former Chaosium employee, community content ambassador, and author of a free scenario you've just removed from DriveThru, I'm in a unique position to help. Email me anytime. It's always nice to hear from you. (1/5)

Oh my, yes; how I miss Lynn, and Keith in his happier times. His one-man run of Lovecraft Country guidebooks is peerless, and the art was so good then. All that was pre-YDSC I think? Maybe Beyond the Mountains of Madness might have been during? Me, I still miss Dagon magazine! The stars burn on. 🖤

We certainly glommed to YDSC because everyone was there in those days, before social media expanded and fragmented the places for discussion. Great times and great friendships (with occasional spats). It’s a huge task to keep them aloft, so rest is deserved. Unlike Cthulhu, moderators never sleep…

Golden days, great chats, rare lore, shared starry wisdom: Vale Old Yoggie. But, um, “back when Chaosium actively published”??? The cracking new Arkham and Gaslight books are truly splendid, Alone Against the Static is a thriller, new players abound, and I’m super active on a future book. Onwards!

Strange Aeons indeed. Thanks Paul. Enjoy the serenity!

That’s huge, Dan! Congrats. I’ll miss the random chance to see you around campus, but I enjoy a regular musical catchup via Screen Sounds. Play on!

I gotta admit, “Smoke on the Westfold” is a banger.

Thank you; I took myself by surprise with that one. Hearing the question I thought “How can I support this gamemaster?”, and that went well until what I *really* think about AI clawed its way out of my larynx like a goddam homunculus.

(Twas a wonderful chat, audience member assassination aside.)

Kinda like finding a U2 record on your iPod.

This is what portrait setting on your phone camera should really do, make you look like a world weary baroness of incredible fortune and hidden passion.
