Reminder: Australia's only emissions reduction legislation - the safeguard mechanism - allows for unlimited use of offsets instead of requiring genuine cuts from polluters

The Australian Government gives foreign owned gas corporates our gas for free, so they can export it to Japan who on-sell it for a profit while Australians face shortages.

Now our Resources Minister reckons we are going it for world peace

US Republican Congressman Thomas Massie says every Republican politician as an AIPAC (Israeli lobby) handler.

Is that true for Australian politicians?

Because a lot of them act like it.

Hey @albomp.bsky.social, what would The Donald say if an Aus company exported $17 B of American gas and didn't pay any tax?

Why are Advance marketing instead of manufacturing?

A group of pale, stale billionaire males bemoan the good 'ol days when we used to make cars

So, they mount a marketing campaign instead of manufacturing cars

Why the fuck don't they just make cars?

So the NSW police are trying to stop the pro-Palestinian rally… like they did with the nazi flag wavers protest…

… oh, right but they didn’t!

So it’s only protests against Israels genocide that are a problem… Nazis are fine…I get it.

The WA Government doctored the report so the Premier could falsely claim Woodside’s operation wasn’t destroying Murujuga, so Woodside could get their disastrous 45-year gas export extension approved.

The gas industry has captured the WA Government.

Here's the ACCC today saying that gas exporters are ripping us off. Again.

"gas being offered & supplied by the exporters to the domestic market has declined over time, while LNG export volumes have increased."

So it’s confirmed.

@australianlabor.bsky.social caved in to Woodside, allowing Woodside to destroy Murujuga with acid gas emissions for another 45 years.

One of Australia and the world’s greatest cultural treasures.

Weak and complicit.

MEDIA RELEASE: SA Premier spreads gas industry misinformation

Premier Peter Malinauskas told an event sponsored by the gas lobby that a new gas project in Narrabri, NSW, is needed to firm up SA's electricity supply.

Our research, using the government’s own data, proves this is simply not true.

Yep, if you're going to do a range, why not 62% to 100%???
markogge.bsky.social
Australia’s target is 62% which is pathetic.

The 70% is meaningless because we only have to reach 62% to meet the target.

Australia continues its wrecking role in global efforts prevent climate collapse because our governments want to keep approving giant fossil fuel export projects.

Just made a few corrections to the gas industry billboard at Darwin airport.

You're welcome Australian Energy Producers.
markogge.bsky.social
As the world’s 2nd largest fossil fuel exporter and 5th largest producer, we are significantly increasing supply, driving down prices and locking in fossil fuels for decades.

Also, Im not a fan of drug dealers defence. We don’t take that approach on slavery, asbestos, drugs…

🟠 Driving up WA energy prices
🟠 Threatening WA's domestic gas reserves
🟠 Paying even fewer royalties - down to just 0.6% of WA revenue in 2027-28
