He/Him/Oi you. Trying to fail better. Prize-lacking author of Walking Horatio, Heartstones, Cardinal Points, and others. Education: Polytechnic of Life. Height: 5'11 and three quarters. Hazel-green eyes. Would like to meet pretty much anyone.
The time has come to read Diamond Boulevard by @timstretton.bsky.social. If it's half as good as the previous entries in the trilogy, I'm in for a treat. #AmReading #CrimeFiction #EvenIfHeIsACatPerson #BookSky

Found this today in the Phone Box that's been repurposed as a book swap community library and home for a defibrillator. Whoever read it has ticked the tales they read and passed comment on them.

Just wandering the village looking for a bucket of sweets that isn't protected by a Video Ring doorbell...

It's Stephen King's birthday today. He's the greatest popular novelist of our age, and a good man too. Keep on rockin', Mr K.

These are probably his 3 most underrated books. Give them a read:

Go on, then, John. What's your favourite opening paragraph to a fantasy novel? Mine's probably from Rob Holdstock's The Hollowing.

Found this Ray Bradbury in the charity bookstore. Interesting to see it's published by Harper but a POD product from Amazon. I don't object to this, not if it's keeping books in print, but I do hope that customers know it's POD before purchasing. #POD #BookSky #RayBradbury

Alas they come with enforced visits to craft fairs at this time of year. I did have a knitted Guy N Smith moment to relieve things though, with a "Cuddle Crab."

Went picking "your own" sweetcorn today, with my wiser half, and there was a craft fair - always a danger, and thus did it prove. Got attacked by a knitted Cuddle Crab. #GuyNSmith #CraftFair #Crabs

Rereading Peter Straub's astonishing Ghost Story. Must be at least the fifth time I have read it. Still amazing and creepy as hell. #BookSky #PeterStraub #GhostStory #AmReading

I have a tale in this anthology which is raising money for Dolly Parton's Imagination Library. From the back contents, can you guess which piece I've contributed?
