No matter how open-minded, socially conscious, anti-racist, I think I am, I still have old, learned hidden biases that I need to examine. It's my responsibility to check myself daily for my stereotypes, prejudice, and ultimately, discrimination.

Overall, I've had mostly positive reactions to this. Some predictable negative feedback from my inlaws. It's has been a catalyst for positive discourse. Somebody once said if you claim to be an ally but aren't standing close enough to be hit by the stones, are you really an ally?
