Although not a fan, I once got free tickets to see Metallica and went along. Near the end, they started playing some old stuff I recognised, so I went to the mosh pit for the craic, the only guy with short hair there. I think it was one of the friendliest places I've ever been.

Whenever I listen to them, which is often, I think they may have been the best of them all.

He's describing the Russian Army, an army that, it turns out, isn't that effective.

Is the enemy Portland?

If there's a parallel, it's with Britain and France - it couldn't be clearer who Hitlerian figure is.

My assumption is that those who voted for him like this. I don't think democracy works with a 50% buy in.

Yeah, that rings a bell.

Was that Spike Milligan's unit?

I think Americans decided a long time ago that this is acceptable. Very weird, but there it is.

I don't think they would. I imagine they enjoy their own lies too.
September 1, 2025 at 10:02 PM
I think they enjoy his lies, in part because of how much it angers people who still think truth is important.

I'm sure his voters knew Harris wouldn't do this.
August 17, 2025 at 12:39 AM
The 77 million who voted for him think differently too - that's your real problem.
August 17, 2025 at 12:37 AM
True, but also, he agrees with him anyway.

1937 Soviet Census vibes.

Jim Jordan dorsn't seem to like rules.

Don't know if I'd compare him to Wagner over his TV show. When I was a 6 year old - around 1980 - he and Sabbath were already legends to us. I can't think of him any other way. I didn't watch the show, seemed harmless enough to me though. His work with Sabbath is so, so great.

What bad stuff did Ozzy do?
July 30, 2025 at 6:02 PM
Whatever he did, they'll say it's fine.
July 24, 2025 at 5:11 PM
He's right, magas don't like the idea of secrets being kept from them, but they'll be able to justify whatever depravity/criminality emerges from the files.
July 23, 2025 at 7:47 PM
Definitely under/undiagnosed in the past, but you do have to wonder what phones are doing to people now.
July 15, 2025 at 8:08 AM
I find it hard to believe his supporters care about this.

What a great song, and quacks in the chorus - love it.

My brother would agree. The Village Green is my favourite, but they have so many great records. I've been enjoying some of their concept albums lately. Gems of songs mixed with proper weirdness.

The Village Green Preservstion Society by The Kinks. I'm not sure what the history lesson would be, but it's definitely in there.
