I overuse semicolons; typos are a given.
There was an old cat where I worked who’d sit on a radiator in a corridor. We had a thing going, where he’d see me, look up, I’d point at him and give him a little boop on his nose.

One day I unknowingly built up a static charge; a spark leapt from finger to nose.

We never did it again.😢

The greatest initial HS2 cock up is the way it was sold to the public.

Cutting 30µs off the Birmingham to London time may have been "sexy" at the time. As you say, the prosaic reality was always the need to free up capacity for local services.

I had no idea @majesticwine.bsky.social was advertising on GB News.

I wish I'd not bought my Christmas booze there. It's last time, unless they stop.

In its early days, the BBC's Sounds (then iPlayer Radio), an on demand service, had its volume slider calibrated from 0-11.

My most recent PB reference was saying "You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means." to a colleague who was misusing "disinterested".

Many years ago I was synching a nature sound track to its footage.

The jewel wasp segment was... creepy... and fascinating.

Would it work with gin?

I think the issue would be that it’s not insulated; who wants warm gin?

Scraperboard?

I'd love to be able to draw; I'm reasonably good at sketching schematics, but anything creative is beyond me.

I know this is true because I've repeatedly tried... and failed.

The unmentionable R word for me is Rep*lican.

Parents having loving interactions with their children.

They put a smile on my face that lasts all day.

No.

You have a drink problem when each of your friends buys you one.

It's the four nipples in a vertical row that confuse me.

I had no profile to speak of and had not built any sort of following beyond a few hundred.

It's just that I didn't want to be part of something so toxic that was bought by, and being gamed by, a thin-skinned fascist wannabe.

I miss the reach of Twitter, but I feel less dirty here.

Chesterfield? Wasn’t that Tony Benn’s consistency?

He’d be proud.

Sounds pretty biblical: “I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one Leaver that changeth their mind, more than over ninety and nine Remainers, which need no change of mind.”

Luke 15:7, the Story of the Duped Leavers.

(I agree with you, by the way.)
