I’m comparing this series to much older iterations, in which ( most times) during the first minute of the show they were dispatched to a new world on a rescue mission. Yes, there was humor but it wasn’t gratuitous. Dance numbers? Not even a thing. This show is much more “90210 in space” than

So, what you are doing, in essence, is finding one aspect of the show ( musical numbers) to be something you don’t like. I find several things to be equally unlikeable. Has anyone attacked you for your stance? They are attacking ME for doing what YOU just did. See the hypocrisy there?

The point is you disliked a Trek series for reasons that are valid to you. I’m not calling you derogatory names for expressing your opinion because, as an INDIVIDUAL, you SHOULD have the right to express that opinion. I’m not being allowed that right in this forum.

A “Captain” that could not act less commanding. A crew that’s so obsessed with hooking up that training for military readiness appears waaaay down the list of priorities. Forced, unnecessary “humor” that relegates the show to near parody status. I guess it’s a haven for foot fetishists. S-bombs.

Well, this is why we’re called “individuals”. We don’t all think alike. Nor do we have to. It’s not a crime to not like something, for whatever reasons are valid to you. I’m glad the Trek name continues on but this one just ain’t my Trek.
