TBH this is the best rationale for a wealth tax I've ever heard. Can you imagine the economic boom if Musk, Zuck, Bezos etc were “forced” to spend their billions rather than hoard the $ so they could pass it down tax free?

I think a lot of “heritage Americans”, especially in the South, would be surprised to learn what their heritage (ie DNA) includes. Especially those whose families have been there the longest. Don't make me spell it out.

Simple solution: Trump just has to stop people from going to: gas stations, grocery stores, coffee shops, restaurants, car dealerships, appliance stores, Home Depot, sporting goods stores, barbershops, malls. Stay home and watch Fox!

It may be a lie now but at some point isn't some form of gun removal necessary to solve the problem? Australia “came for their guns” through a mandatory buy back of semi-automatics and it worked. Maybe Dems should stop saying its a lie and make it explicit.

I think her comparison of Trump to an alcoholic is apt: he’s literally drunk on the MAGA adoration and power. But if her whole upbringing was covering up abhorrent behavior of her drunken father, she's perfect for the job. And you can only imagine how horrible Trump is behind the scenes.

If you drill down on his “philosophy”, at its core is the idea that “race-mixing” leads to the destruction of Western civilization. I just don't know how he can look at his wife, and children, or in the mirror, while spouting this vile BS.

It's kind of rich that Miller et al glorify America as the inheritor and custodian of Western Civilization when one the central tenets of its founding was the most barbaric practice of the “uncivilized” cultures: slavery.

I saw that clip yesterday and I was certain my kids had messed around with the color settings on the TV. Just the fact that he goes out in public wearing that much orange makeup is evidence of dementia.

I think the key parallel to present day 🇺🇸 is the casual acceptance (even the celebration) of the cruelty in the boat strikes, the ICE raids, violence against political enemies. The dehumanization is the goal.
