I think that’s right. But these signings were there to reinforce and supplement so we could survive when Saka and Odegaard DID have dips. Especially Saka because we’re now going on almost 2 years of Odegaard falling off and we can’t keep blaming the injury. Saka is still a single point of failure.

Arsenal had more open play premier league goals through this point last year with Sterling as our main attacking sub (which was only cause of injury). Like I said, our attack hasn’t improvised and you could actually argue it has regressed.

It’s not outlandish to say Vik, Noni, and Eze have been inadequate to our attack so far. It’s indisputable that they aren’t even coming close to providing the reciprocal value from our outlay. Our attack hasn’t improved in the slightest.

Truly, I do not think it’s that complicated. Without Saka in form, we have no dynamism in attack. It’s just that simple. Nobody can just “make a play” to borrow a basketball term. It’s devoid of creativity. Odegaard, Jesus, Vik, Eze, Trossard as of late, Noni, Martinelli - all underwhelm.

It was almost the exact same performance except they didn’t have any one in attack to punish us.
January 25, 2026 at 6:34 PM
No we’re still top of the league and United got lucky and we still had more of the ball it’s all good!!!!!!!!

Those bottles be bottling
January 25, 2026 at 6:16 PM
Unfortunately, this is all too commonplace with Arsenal. We have the dumb gene
January 25, 2026 at 5:23 PM
We have the dumb gene. Another game where the opposition have absolutely nothing about them and we just refuse to make it easy. We’ve created better chances for United than ourselves
January 25, 2026 at 5:23 PM
Fair enough! Why do you think Arteta seems reluctant?
January 21, 2026 at 5:10 PM
I sure hope so. Eze feels very much of the Smith Rowe ilk where he’s clearly very talented and will have his moments but just doesn’t not have the consistent skill set Arteta looks for in midfield. Too much of a passenger

“If that were Granit Xhaka”
January 20, 2026 at 9:33 PM
Part of me tends to believe that unless you are coming back from an injury, you should show up ready to play when you are given the opportunity. I just don’t buy it’s lack of rhythm why Eze underwhelms. I think he’s just a bit of a poor fit for Arteta’s system/ how Arsenal play

Second place mentality once again.

We’re just gonna have to agree to disagree on this. Players time waste, that’s true. It’s a problem. I still believe us and players reasonably discern (even in the moment) when a player is actually injured. I believe this to be one of those cases. If you don’t, that’s fine. I dont see it that way.
January 8, 2026 at 11:40 PM
I’m a massive Arsenal fan who can be reasonable when I believe someone on my team was in the wrong. Not gonna change how much I support them.
January 8, 2026 at 11:25 PM
They literally had more possession than us. There were 4 minutes of added time. We don’t have to do this haha. They could say the same thing about Martinelli’s dive in the box.
January 8, 2026 at 11:24 PM
Actually great point. Martinelli also dove 10 minutes before the incident so I guess it is reasonable that he would assume further diving.
January 8, 2026 at 11:21 PM
If he stamped on his face, then yeah he probably deserves a red. He didn’t do anything that deserves a red. I think it’s really bizarre to assume a player who went down screaming with a non contact injury is automatically faking it.
