I had this exact same problem. A bunch of my web handles had "88" tacked onto the end. Was pretty horrified when I found out what it meant. Amusingly, that was only a few years ago.

So ridiculous. Only chance we'd have to (justifiably) raise taxes, and they've bottled it. Years more of no growth and shit services then.

Depends how big the crash it, to be honest. The biggest companies on the market are heavily invested in AI, none moreso than Nvidia, and Nvidia is, what, about 8% of the total market value at the moment? If they all saw big drops we could be looking at a huge crash with big knock-ons.

The problem is it'll be a MASSIVE fall in the US stock market, which will ripple out across everything. The US will go into a recession overnight, as growth figures are seemingly inflated due to AI "growth". It's a huge mess, surely?
