I paid $34,500 for a house that I loved in 1990, in a part of Cleveland that people thought was kind of scruffy. It was fantastic, but it was also 35 years ago.

They refused to call waterboarding "torture" because, and this was from the NPR Ombudsman herself, the GWB administration didn't agree with that characterization.

I used to know a youngish (also very leftist) woman who was really good at poker, and she totally played on those dudes. They underestimated her and paid for it.
I said "hey wow, there's an actual tax on sexism, and you're collecting it!"

For real. My part of Cleveland has quite a few Muslims and, IDK, they're... regular people. Lots of moms in head scarfs of course. Super into their families. Kind of quiet mostly.
