Unfortunately their leadership does have an impact on us. We are collateral damage.

Perhaps it is smug but Canadians are sick of US insensitivity. ambassador 2 Canada Hoegstra calling us mean & nasty or Tillis at Halifax Security Conference calling us arrogant or the 6 congressmen in Minn and Wisconsin complaining bc our wildfires were ruining cottage time for US citizens. :-(

This is the one Christmas post of our leader in Canada PM Carney. I know Trump said we aren’t even a real country but as a citizen of a non country I value these traits.

I don’t believe vigilante acts are acceptable because it would eventually lead to chaos with everyone doing their own thing but it’s hard to disagree with this act of vigilantism!

By having someone vouch 4 their ID & address & making a written declaration. The voucher must know voter personally & appear on list of electors at same polling station as the voter. Voucher must not have vouched 4 another voter or have had their own ID & residence vouched for. What R US rules?

US really is determined to deter any Canadian tourism. I have to go down there in 3 wks time to get our house ready to rent this winter. Renting out instead of snowbirding. Going to Azores instead. I don’t even want to go down for 2 wks to get it ready now.

He won’t negotiate with Canada either. Guess in his eyes Canadians are worse than Hamas. Course he and his ambassador to Canada Pete Hoegstra calls us a nasty people.

And this man is America’s president? Have all Americans lost their minds? His behaviour is outrageous. Adults do not behave this way. Statesmen do not behave this way. Is there no one down there that realizes the US rep is going down the toilet?

Yes great thought. I’ll try to focus on that. I’m Canadian. We are now being tariffed an additional 10% on top of the 35% on goods & 50% on aluminum & steel cuz T didn’t like an ad that truthfully quoted Ronald Reagan on tariffs. Is America a friend or an enemy? Hard to see USA as a friend.

We have no option but to open our trading relations to China. China is not an ally but at this point I think most Canadians would say neither is the US our ally.

I have friends in the US, grandchildren and kids and it hurts me to say this. America is no longer our friend. Their government wants to hurt us because they believe US is entitled to everything and the smaller nations must be subservient to America…continued

US can’t be trusted. They’ll just slap 10% tariffs Willy nilly every time they feel like it. Trump wants to destroy our auto industry and any deal he makes with us he’ll just renege on when there’s something he doesn’t like. Continue…
