I worry about public resources in the next four years. The drive for privatization could worsen power and wealth disparities among Americans, and you aren’t in that privileged group. Sure we have more stuff, but are we better as a nation?

Frustration grows as the illusion of growth interferes with the American dream, leading us to believe we will all be affluent despite recognizing this isn't true. A limit exists for most. When authorities control wealth distribution, people's agency wanes.

The notion of increased production and wealth is a long-standing one.As a society, we aspire to be part of the winning team in this regard. Nevertheless, I doubt that being on the winning team translates to actual victory. The more we grow, the more it seems we are sacrificing something essential.

The actual division exists between those with financial and political influence over our perceived truths. Ultimately, an American is an American, regardless of race, beliefs, or gender. Such traits are irrelevant when discussing policies that oppress.
