There is so much UNINFORMED UTTER BULLSHIT like this across the internet and I just can't comprehend the willful ignorance. It's unconscionable, and the media outlets that peddle these lies for profit should be prosecuted.

No, the government is shut down because Democrats want illegal immigrants to get healthcare, medical benefits, food stamps, and all that stuff. It’s time for you to grow up and understand what’s really going on. The fact of the matter is this: Democrats have repeatedly voted to keep the government shut down because they would rather make illegal immigrants their priority instead of American citizens. The facts are clear — they voted to deny payroll for U.S. troops because they didn’t get the funding they wanted for illegal immigrants. What that shows is they don’t care about the American people. They care about themselves and those who come here illegally, putting them before the citizens of this country. Instead of working with Republicans, they lie and fear-monger. The last time this happened, Republicans were willing to work with Democrats, but the Democrats refused because they didn’t get what they wanted. They’re acting like toddlers who throw tantrums when they don’t get their way. And instead of taking responsibility, they deflect and try to shift the blame. Then they wonder why people are leaving their states at such a high rate. I grew up in Pennsylvania — I love that state, it’s beautiful. But your kind of politics and the Democrat policies are the reason I left. The high taxes, the corruption, and the lack of common sense have driven people out. Meanwhile, across most of the rest of the country — in Republican-led states — gas is cheaper, taxes are lower, and people are freer. But Democrats would rather tax the American people and take their hard-earned money than actually help them."

Just got this limp-dick response from my piece of shit Senator who doesn't even live in our state. A day late and a dollar short, as always.
A shitty form letter from PA Republican Senator Dave McCormick in response to a previous communication regarding Pete Hegseth's egregious signal breach, and what was being done about it. It reads as follows: Dear Miss <name redacted>, Thank you for contacting me regarding the recent breach of secure communication protocols within the Department of Defense (DoD). Your feedback isimportant to me as we work together to shape policies that benefit Pennsylvania and our country. Signal is an encrypted messaging application. On March 25, 2025, The Atlantic’s Jeffrey Goldberg reported he was accidentally added to a Signal groupchat involving senior officials in the United States government. This group chat discussed U.S. military operations in the Red Sea and included senior personnel from the National Security Council and DoD. The incident prompted an internal review, which concluded on March 31. According to the White House, steps were taken “to ensure that something like [the Signal incident] can obviously never happen again.” A few weeks later, The New York Times reported that Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth shared similar information with his wife, brother, and other senior level officials in another Signal group chat. This matter is currently under investigation by the DoD Inspector General (IG). I have full confidence in the IG’s ability to conduct a fair and thorough inquiry, including ensuring compliance with classification and records retention requirements. As a combat veteran and former senior national security official, I believe sensitive, high-level discussions must be conducted securely to protect U.S. service members and ensure mission success. It is an honor and a privilege to serve our great Commonwealth in the United States Senate. I appreciate having the benefit of your comments on this important matter. I thank you for your interest in this national security matter and am always grateful to hear from my constituents. Sincerely David McCormick
