What I have known for months is now confirmed via an KB-entry at Microsoft: Windows 11 is officially defective since July! So I will stay at my Windows 10 LTSC which will still be patched for the next years!

There must be some hidden stupidity-biorhythm in the human brain. I just sorted out old level 1-support-messages in my helpdesk-system and look there: nearly exactly one year ago (+/- a few days) the same users forgot their passwords and requested a reset...

Took me a week, but I replaced the fu**ng PXE/UEFI-Boot-implementation of several MSI motherboards with iPXE. And because the onboard nic was locked against reflashing I placed the code in the EFI System Partition and created a boot entry to it. Now all PCs can start from LAN - praise Open Source!
