The FBI and DOJ are supposed to be impartial and investigate these types of crimes that cross state lines. Unfortunately, they are not anymore.

However, a civil trial can be held against those involved and require a payment into a fund for all the victims. Maybe it's not justice the way we want, but those involved can still be held accountable.

Yes, this is part of the problem. Likely leaving us the option of just shunning them, voting them out or demanding their resignation. In the private sector we can refuse to buy their products.
