My last parish had an assistant priest dress up as St. Nicholas (bishop’s miter and all) and led them out to Sunday school and told them to leave out their shoes during Sunday school and he’d drop candy in them. Was a great moment!

These evangelicals have detestable theology but you gotta admit, that guy thanking God for his “smokin’ hot wife” at a NASCAR race on live TV all those years ago was a pretty memorable moment.

Seeing as how I've been told getting an Anglican Studies diploma before the process calls for it is considered "uncouth" (if I ever decided to start the process again that is) I might just look into doing one of these a semester to keep my theology brain activated and locked in!

I will always remember your wisdom after a certain committee recommended I go get a PhD rather than get ordained when I first started the process. Your presence in that moment has always stayed with me. Affirming the fact that both can exist is something I’d truly hope to see in my time.

This is tough to read cause it's from before dialysis took a lot of my memory of school away from me. I can see the bits and pieces I learned in NT II in here and it just hurts that I have so little memory of those ideas and thoughts now...anyways I used to write much better than I do now!

Wow. Hadn’t been to a K&W in many years but sad to see it go.

I'm listening to a book by a psychologist (No Bad Parts by Richard Schwartz, PhD) and he seems to blame so much in the world on Calvin's idea of Total Depravity as well as the Catholic idea of Original Sin and like...Idk...these assumptions by the wider population bug me for some reason.
