Haley, Ren, Killian and Jules at work have made things so much easier, just talking makes me feel human and less of an obligation

Getting to work together throughout the holidays was so much fun and i wish they’d let us keep staggering shifts so we all can keep hanging out on the clock

I found a group of people who love me for me and ima talk about them a bit so stayed tuned

I also quit my dream job for my mental health and that was rough

But The last few months of the year I feel so at peace…

I have met amazing people, had insane experiences and grew so much as a person

Im glad I got to experience it

I want that again someday but other teachers said nothing compares to your first class

Im honored to have made a difference, even to the small groups I could

I love them and I dont think I ever will stop caring not do i want to

I miss them and Im proud of them

My preschoolers are going to be in 3rd grade now

My middle schoolers are all in high school

They continue to grow without me and it breaks my heart in such a bittersweet way

I miss them all so dearly as my kids, I care so deeply for them all and can’t wait to watch them grow from the sidelines

I miss being that safe space for queer youth in a world thats genuinely trying to kill them

I miss going to their events because they beg me to

I miss making them watch anime at lunch to “culture” then and got them hooked

I miss them coming just to bug me in my planning hours

I miss having the preschool kids run to me, squealing because i promised id draw with them

I miss my middle schoolers coming to my room to talk shit and get elder gay advice

I miss that feeling that I did some good
