Ultimately, I wish Trek would spend more time dwelling on the questions it asks than celebrating itself for the answers it provides.
But, importantly, that is a feeling I have had about TNG and Voyager as much as any more recent show

... we glorify our worst selves and give them a fun job at Section 31, following the most cynical take on the setting.
These are old examples, of course, but its really there where it started to feel shallow to me.
Which is a shame because the shows do lots of stuff I really enjoy, too.

More than anything, I want modern Trek to seriously tackle how and why so many people with views antithetical to the aspired values of Star Trek, love to claim it as their own.

It would make sense as a kind of super advanced version of the Prometheos multi vector mode. But then again, i dont need to see them overplay that feature
