Last day in Australia a year ago. We had time to walk across the Sydney Harbour Bridge and have a coffee in Kirribilli before heading off the airport. One last view of the Sydney Opera House #travel ✈️🗺️

Took a Viator trip a year ago to the Blue Mountains, stopping first at the Featherdale Wildlife Park to see koalas, kangaroos, and more, then a hike for great views in the National Park, lunch in Leura, with a last stop to see The Three Sisters. #travel ✈️🗺️

A year ago, the Daintree river area was still recovering from a typhoon and lots of roads were closed. But the river tours were open and we took one on the lookout for frogs and crocodiles. Later we visited the Mossman River Gorge #travel ✈️🗺️

Mostly a rest day at our hotel near Finlayville, a year ago today. But we did get out for a walk to see some wildlife and fauna #travel ✈️🗺️

Today, a year ago, was Great Barrier Reef day. We took a Sailaway catamaran to the reef and got to see a turtle and lots more as we snorkeled #greatbarrierreef ✈️🗺️

Last year, Queensland was still recovering from a tropical cyclone that had hit in December 2023. The train to Kuranda was still not operational when we were there but we were able to take the Skyrail to Kuranda with a stop to see the Barron Falls in full flow ✈️🗺️

It's been a good rain season for Marin so far this year. We are already at 14 inches, about 30% more than usual. And the waterfalls are running well! This is Cascade Canyon. ✈️🗺️ #travel

Shirikawa-go is within easy driving distance from Kanazawa and is well worth the visit. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site and famous for its thatched houses. It is, it has to said, a little too tourist-popular and a convenient stop for coach tours. So go early, or late. #travel
