The Narmer Palette, 3200–3000 BC, depicts the unification of Upper & Lower Egypt under king Narmer & the start of the Egyptian Dynasties. But it troubles me. The Palette is an artistic triumph of Humanity, & a sad reflection of the cruelty of Humanity. 📷 by me. Egyptian Museum, Cairo #archaeology

Sitting in the garden listening to evening song. A bit quiet tonight; a drop in temperature and some light rain. Not sure where the blackbirds are tonight, and the Woodpigeons and collared doves, who often say goodnight. Thanks to #Merlin App. Anyone else enjoying evening song? 🦉🪶
