I was going to say that Severance isn't a show that caught on because of its aesthetics. It's a show that doesn't give viewers everything at once and that is intentional. It builds up, it was mindfully constructed to evoke very specific emotions at specific times. The aesthetics contribute to that.

You learn core fundamentals mostly by doing (practicing). That's not the issue here. The issue is where the showrunners' priorities sit. Stranger Things between S4 and 5 went from "we're creating something cool" to "we're making something to be consumed"
