Started with paper tape and punch cards. After 28 years in MSFT, currently working on Zephyr-based firmware and Kubernetes and Rust in the cloud and hardware device design in Fusion, Altium and KiCAD.
The sharp inside radii in the hex channel meant that it needed both milling and copper-electrode erosion. A bit more expensive than parts with lower tolerances, but the result is spectacular and I'm back on the road.

Next: broken foot-rest pins; broken plastic arm supports; and a glitchy joystick.

There was no use in getting warranty replacement parts. They would have just been more plastic and sadness, so I decided to up-engineer the chair.
I started by measuring and modeling the broken leg support swing pins in Autodesk Fusion and then sent them off to Jlccnc to be cut from Aluminum.

The project also improved coordination among institutions involved in the agricultural sector. All that work and the learnings on international development and relations with Zambia has now been scrubbed from the govt websites and the possibility of new development and relations efforts cut off.

I worked in the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Development in Lusake on this five-year initiative funded by USAID in collaboration with the Government of Zambia. The project’s primary goal was to enhance the institutional capacity of Zambian officials in agricultural planning and policy analysis.
