The great Aussie gas giveaway is set to continue under Labor 🤯🫠

This is a total scam - we haven’t received a cent of PRRT for offshore LNG exports & the weak changes Govt made last term aren’t fixing it.

Parliament needs to fix the PRRT.

This is so important, need to get this message through to the entitled car drivers!!!
Wales’ 20mph speed limit is delivering incredible results:

✅ 100 fewer deaths/serious injuries on 20 & 30mph roads
✅ 35% drop in road casualties (Jul–Sep 2024 vs. same period in 2023)
✅ Lowest casualty rate for this period since 1979

The data is clear: slower speeds save lives.

Not one issue at all, even on the rainy days.

If crypto is incorporated into Australia’s financial system, we will be lucky to avoid contagious collapse | John Quiggin

I am so sad about the government scrapping the Latin Excellence Programme mid-year. It was bringing Latin to a range of state schools (with considerable success, as I have witnessed). I am trying hard to resist the idea that it is ill-informed prejudice against the subject. tinyurl.com/5fjr9ywk
Schools face 'significant disruption' after Latin scheme axe

The new ABC CEO is the same Hugh Marks who hosted a $10,000 a head Liberal Party fundraiser at Nine's headquarters.

Wow.

We'll now have a middle-aged white male who supports conservative causes in charge of the ABC.

What a refreshing change.

I mean . . . I can hardly wait.

Australia's fire season is well underway. It is expected to be the worst fire season since the summer of 2019-2020, when nearly 500 people died from direct fire exposure and smoke inhalation, and tens of thousands of acres were charred.
Fire Season in Australia Has Started, Early and Ominous
Though experts do not think that this season will be the worst yet, they also warn that the past is no longer a reliable guide to the future.
