Yeah that's so true. All the same, I think this xkcd is a little bit relevant here. If you had any potential you'd think even the wastebasket thing would at least help you not be dogshit.

Original Title Text: I'd like to find a corpus of writing from children in a non-self-selected sample (e.g. handwritten letters to the president from everyone in the same teacher's 7th grade class every year)--and score the kids today versus the kids 20 years ago on various objective measures of writing quality. Recently read the story of Cain and Abel to my daughter for the first time, then reread it on my own. Really sticks in one's head. Particularly that God so strongly condemns murder that he even protects the murderer.
