This position is part of a 2 PhD student project funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation, with an international team of experimental and theoretical ecologists, including Frank Pennekamp @pennekampster.bsky.social (U. Zurich) and Andrew Hein (Cornell).

This project involves the close integration of mathematical models and high-resolution behavioural and population data from experimental protist systems. If you are interested in fundamental questions in ecology and like combining models and data, this PhD could be a great fit for you.
