Remembering is appropriate but lighting a candle in extremely dry & hot conditions as is the case in much of Australia is not. Also, it is wrong to ignore that the current Israeli regime & its enabler are in a large way responsible for the rise in antisemitism here and worldwide.

Something many don't consider, the massive cost in money & energy in mining, transporting & processing fossil fuels prior to using them. Sunshine, wind, & water are all supplied free & clean from nature, it's a huge advantage. I worked in the mining and an associated industry; the cost is huge.
