No matter where you go, there you are.
Whenever a politician says something, replace the key words with 'mutants.'

If they sound like an X-Men villain, then they are a villain.

Last I heard, Democrats said they’d schedule a Zoom call to discuss it.

That’s it. A freaking Zoom call.

When users overwhelmingly tell you they do not like or want Copilot, changing your flagship product’s name to include ‘Copilot’ will surely make them warm up to it.

Next up: Copilot OS 12 (formerly Windows)

What happened in Venezuela is a bully getting beaten up by a bigger bully.

The majority of Venezuelans are beyond thrilled that Maduro got grabbed.

Unfortunately, most aren’t thinking or asking what the even bigger bully has in mind for them.

It’s my understanding the Venezuelan military is corrupt. They benefited from the Maduro regime, but I suspect their loyalty is tied to their paychecks.

If another grifter offers them the same pay and privileges, do they side with the grifter, or fight for Venezuela out of national pride?

Ukraine's allies refuse to put boots on the ground, so the only way the war stops is if Ukraine concedes territory to Russia, which Ukraine rightfully refuses to do.

If Putin stops the war with nothing to show for it, he'll 'fall out a window.'
January 3, 2026 at 10:03 AM
Trump is leaving out a lot: Putin wants the war to end on terms favorable to him, with something tangible to show for it.

If Putin withdraws his forces with nothing to show for several years of war, he'll be the next person to get pushed out a window.

Tesla sold only 46K of them, but a disproportionate number of them are seen daily in Southern California.

When the model debuted, the joke was that if you saw one, you found your village idiot. Apparently, I'm surrounded by idiots...

This sadly won’t fix your appetizer situation, but:

Call the credit card company and reverse the charge. Companies that take your money and don’t deliver, only learn their lesson when it costs them money.

In the meantime, hope a local supermarket is still open?

In many cases: My children are ghosting me, that’s wrong, every kid who ghosts their parents are evil, and I expect everyone to validate my feelings.

(While leaving out that they were/are shitty parents.)

Though he doesn't state it clearly, pretty sure he means everyone. He knows when his time comes, the world will celebrate.

All he can offer in response is anger and pettiness and revenge.

When he's gone, MAGA will find that anger and revenge doesn't pay the bills or provide healthcare.

Every time someone says Die Hard is a Christmas movie because it's set during Christmas, I recommend Gundam 0080 because it is also set during Christmas.

I traumatized so many people that my Christmas show selection privileges have been revoked.
December 25, 2025 at 5:02 AM
I assume that my parents want to receive Christmas wishes when it's Christmas, not the day after, so I check timezones to make sure my message gets there 'on time.'

If Doomsday flops, it might spell doom for the Avengers franchise. So they're undoing the poignant ending of Endgame, first with RDJ and now Evans. Sigh.

It's like following a recipe, using every ingredient listed, but the final result feels lacking, like whoever cooked didn't put their heart into it.

With Wish, someone definitely thought: "Include these things and themes and we'll have a hit." But made the movie without any heart.

I'm not ruling out the GOP trying to pull a Weekend At Donnie's and pretending that Trump is still alive.

Kissinger lived to be 100.
December 24, 2025 at 12:43 PM
I'm not ruling out a Weekend At Donnie's scenario, where the GOP uses AI videos to make it appear that Trump is alive and well. At least until after the midterms, so Vance can serve 10 years.

Many companies abuse all communication channels for engagement. Ads in notifications. Ignoring "Do not send me notification for X."

Abusing user trust doesn't lead to increased engagement. As you wrote, it just makes users rush to their settings to turn everything off again. Or delete their apps.
December 24, 2025 at 12:35 PM
Used to work for a company who'd use major app updates as an excuse to turn notifications back on (and pretend "oops" when users complained) because they wanted to drive up engagement numbers.

It's like unsubscribing from emails from a store, then they sneak you back onto their list 6 months later.

Is ‘ass mass’ a different way of saying bullshit? 🤭
December 24, 2025 at 6:08 AM
Businesses and news media (incl. the BBC) should know that the S&P 500 is not the economy.

Stocks are being bolstered by AI investments this year. If that house of cards tumbles, it’ll make the dotcom bust and the housing market bust look like picnics.

I’ve given up on the justice system putting him away. Looks like the only viable options are old age and poor health.

Leaving work one day, I saw a cat under my car. Back of my mind: “Kinda big for a cat.” Pushed a button on my key fob to unlock the car, and the cat bolted away.

It was a rather large bobcat.
