They are going to invade us with or without nuclear weapons. A nuclear deterrent is absolutely necessary at this point to face down Russian and American incursions.

Steve, you're living under the assumption that a majority of humans are rational actors who understand how to meaningfully address their material existence. Modern society simply doesn't culture this kind of person.
