A brief history of Clapham Junction Station in south London, the worst main station in London. Almost all London Waterloo & London Victoria trains go through/stop there, for those of us who live in Southern England, it’s a mess, changing trains? Basingstoke to Gatwick Airport, end up in Twickenham🤣

Just watched the final episode. Yes I cried. Neighbours, Australia’s most iconic soap opera, part of my life since it first screened in the UK in 1986. I’ve been a regular viewer since. The sun may have set on Ramsay St, but it’ll never die. Thanks to all the actors and staff. Farewell❤️❤️ #Neighbours

I’m glad I visited the US in 2006, when it was a friendly, welcoming and tolerant country. For a President who bangs on about freedom of speech & expression, these rules are an unnecessary invasion of personal freedom & privacy. I’m never going back. Love America, but your President is insane.

Busy day today, hospital appointment this morning, popped into town for a few bits, some lunch then a walk to the post box, nearly got blown there in the strong wind! Now it’s a nice cup of tea and my book. Stay safe out there with this storm.

Wind power hit a new record! On 5th December 2025, electricity generated by wind power provided nearly 50% of Britain’s electricity ⚡️ demand. Absolutely brilliant! 💚

I live in modern day Hampshire, where settlers left to colonise America and named a State after us. Hampshire is also historically the heart of the ancient Kingdom of Wessex, its capital city, Winchester, the home of King Alfred The Great. His statue sits prominently in the city.
