The solution for time wasting in soccer is so blatantly obvious but for some reason never considered: 60 minutes of active play time. Clock stops anytime ball is not in Play. The end.

Because most of playing quarterback is about quickly diagnosing and getting the ball out to the right place. It has very little to do with physical traits (although of course they help and you need to meet minimums)

Of course noone knows where they're gonna end up, that's the nature of drafting qbs. But that's all the more reason to keep taking swings.

They're stuck in purgatory unless and until they do something different: too good a team to lose enough games to be in position to draft a QB without trading up, but never a playoff contender because they don't have a QB. It's foolish to expect a different result while doing the same thing

I would think any of the teams not drafting a QB would've move for the right trade. And yes of course they would have had to give up opps to draft other players but I think the Steelers have amply demonstrated that it doesn't matter what you do at other positions if you don't have a QB.
