Escaped from X to a far better place
If Alex Murphy isn’t deemed as being ready to fill in for a few weeks then I think he never will be and should be moved on. To be fair he’s always looked decent when I’ve seen him and hasn’t let us down. Prefer giving him a chance rather than recall targett

We’ve become a soft touch. In the first few years we were horrible to play against but now we are a relatively easy home fixture

Yesterday was certainly not a one off. Not sure which journalist he was responding to but I must have watched a different first half because I didn’t see any positives that Howe referred to.

The closest comparison from my time is wayne fereday but at least we sold him to buy gavin peacock. I cant see any use for elanga at the moment

I’m loyal to the club not individual employees. They come and go
December 14, 2025 at 4:52 PM
That is the point. The clubs owners and CEO have stated we are not wanting to be that club. Fair and reasonable to ask if he’s taken us as far as he can based on our inability to manage 2 games per week the twice he’s tried
December 14, 2025 at 4:35 PM
I’m not Howe out but he’s got to start showing signs of life quickly. This is a trend away from home, we are a soft touch. Has he reached the point where he’s taken us as far as he can? It’s a fair debate to have
December 14, 2025 at 4:27 PM
Today and every away game this calendar year to be honest. It isn’t a one off. What the hell is he telling them? He gets the praise when it goes well so perfectly fair to ask if he’s taken us as far as he can because I see no progression at all
December 14, 2025 at 4:02 PM
We haven’t laid a glove on them and it’s a recurring theme away from home.
December 14, 2025 at 3:56 PM
This one is on Howe, simple as that. Out coached and the team outfought by a poor side
December 14, 2025 at 3:51 PM
He’s under pressure so his natural personality is coming out. Didn’t see it so much last season because it wasn’t his team and he hadn’t spent nearly half a billion to get worse
December 5, 2025 at 9:26 PM
The graphic said it all. We’ve now lost 13 points from winning positions this season with many being either very late or injury time goals. Happens too often, we are a soft touch
December 2, 2025 at 10:22 PM
Problem is that even with pope in goal we’ve given away late soft goals. Mentality and concentration issue for it to happen so often. It’s not down to bad luck
December 2, 2025 at 10:20 PM
We give so many winning positions away with soft late goals. Weak mentality in the squad for it to happen so often
December 2, 2025 at 10:18 PM
He wouldn’t be the one player he is now if he’d stayed because he wouldn’t have been selected much
November 29, 2025 at 1:14 PM
Sounds good in theory but that opens the door to an asset appreciation tax further down the line. We already see it with inheritance tax thresholds creeping down
November 29, 2025 at 12:56 PM
Not sure pope is such an amazing shot stopper compared to ramsdale to make up for the enormous gulf in footwork and distribution
November 22, 2025 at 6:51 PM
All that may be true but PIF didn’t pick burn at left back and leave him on when he was on a yellow and being constantly targeted while our first choice left back sat on the bench
November 9, 2025 at 5:23 PM
I think quite a few have metaphorically got the cigars out since the cup final win
November 9, 2025 at 5:03 PM
Burn is a good centre back but a horrific left back. Poor management to select him when hall is fit and available
November 9, 2025 at 3:39 PM
Social media has amplified everything. Back in the day we’d vent over a pint while reading the pink then forget about it and get on with our weekend. These days people stew for days. That being said Sunday was very poor and it’s fine for people to say that
November 4, 2025 at 1:38 PM
We don’t have the personnel to play a patient possession based game. We are always more effective in transition
November 2, 2025 at 4:08 PM
First half at Brighton was exactly the same. Other away performances have been equally as bad. Too many dining out on the cup win and only putting in a shift when they fancy it
November 2, 2025 at 4:02 PM
This is the usual away performance. We are playing with the intensity of a pre season friendly and being outworked again. We are rapidly turning into a soft touch. Doctor newcastle is back
November 2, 2025 at 3:04 PM
Ultimately points on the board and league position are all that matters. These stats are a comfort blanket for when we don’t want to confront the uncomfortable truth that we’ve been poor for quite some time. It was always going to catch up with us
