If Keir Starmer won't deliver more trainee doctor posts unless the BMA back down, he is holding patients on long waiting lists to ransom to win his dispute.
Government can clearly afford extra training places or they wouldn't have offered them. It would be contemptible to withdraw them.

Remarkable how many news outlets are reporting Johnathan Gullis was an Education Minister without saying he was appointed by Liz Truss, and so in post for even less time than she was PM.
Not even Boris Johnson had wanted Gullis as a minister and Sunak sacked him as soon as he replaced Truss.

I can't think of a good defence for the Panorama Trump edit, but I'm struggling with why there were no complaints at the time and the resignations it triggered took place more than a year after it was broadcast.

I suspect spam texts claiming to be from the Department of Work and Pensions and beginning "My Dear Partner" are not likely to fool many people.

Why are so many journalists doing "How the UK dodged the worst of Trump's tariffs" guff when we know they are the product of a simple (and much derided) formula?
The answer is simply we have a worse balance of trade with the USA than those hit harder.
