I think I'll post a few flower paintings. Some of them may be old but there's sure to be some new ones this year. The garden is already showing signs of life. These are both watercolours that found buyers some while ago.

It's nice to explore one's artwork from long ago produced in less troubled times. On our regular holidays in Dorset the only real worry was whether our old VW Beetle would make it home again (it did). This watercolour sketch was done at Weymouth harbour

One of many pastel portraits of Lorna who sat for me regularly when she lived nearby. She has several of them but this one is still in a portfolio along with others.

One of several of my Cambridge paintings featuring Trinity Lane. I love the tunnel-like aspects of these gloomy roads which can be suddenly transformed by unexpected shafts of sunlight.

Two watercolours of hellebore in a bowl of water from a while ago. I love hellebores but as they hang their heads if put in a vase they are difficult to paint, but putting them in a bowl worked admirably.

Still life in oil sold at a Cambridge Drawing Society exhibition in 2020. This one shows quite a bit of impasto built up during the process of composition.

A Sunday morning In Eastney, Portsmouth. It is the view from Ferry Road to Lock Lake with a fella and his Jack Russell dog. it stretched on his lead to partake in the rarefied feast of an abandoned KFC box. He never did quite make it.

Watercolour and Indian ink street sketch of #PembrokeCollege, Cambridge. I seem to have done a lot of paintings and drawings of this beautiful college. Many are sold. I've put a collection of them in a Flickr album here: www.flickr.com/photos/baker...
