I'm not a build baby build person. There are some serious discussions needed - the rush to data centres horrifies me. But for me there is a strong social justice case for housing a population and providing infrastructure. 3/n

HS2 currently large scar ( Google earth shocker) but post construction it will be a rail line running through (or under) green spaces. That 'green to grey' project also had some shocking images 2/n

As an aside:
Last report was 3,700 liability claims to Devon County (potholes / pavement slips-trips). Tens of thousands paid out annually.
Way Back in the day word would go around some neighbourhoods & there'd be a rush of small claims arising from a defect - small enough for quick payout.
