So, I tend to watch Hallmark movies w black leads out of obligation (I want to support, but I rarely see where they get us right in Christmas movies). Yet the 1st thing out this character’s mouth was, “Don’t cut your eyes at me,” and, as a formerly sassy kid who heard that way too much, I was sat.

I just…people have no fear that the assignment they’re trying to sell to the nation as an injustice, is not just public, it’s remedial? Maybe it’s just me, but that’s concerning, especially bc I’ve seen it happen far too many times, and I’m not yet fully seasoned.
