The thing we love about art, the connection between human beings across time and space and the sharing of emotion and expression, that's the thing the AI backers specifically hate. They just want objects to buy and sell which can't criticize or question them, or ever make them think.

Art is a conversation. Why would I stare at a dictionary run through the washing machine when I could read a poem lovingly constructed by someone’s hands?

my most unpopular opinion is that it's a sign of defective moral character if you point blank refuse to answer phone calls from unknown numbers. it's not that hard to hang up on spam/scammers, and you are probably missing important calls!

2. Gen AI makes bad stuff.
3. Companies hire people to fix it (and pay less, because the employees are new/"just" editing/freelances without benefits).
4. Somehow this is hailed as job creation.
