Well, finally they're starting to see sense. These changes won't affect trump et al, but it will negatively affect their own constituency which could cost them at election time.
Some Republicans are raising concerns about how reducing the federal workforce by hundreds of thousands and canceling spending approved by Congress will affect regions filled with GOP voters. For instance, Ohio has more than 55,000 federal civilian workers.
