I'm working on a magical girl comic about working in retail. Eventually I want to make it into a fully fledged, longer story, but for now I am still learning to draw. I wrote the script for one chapter as a uni dissertation and it was received very well, but I want to bring it to life on the page.
Two comic page drafts in progress, featuring a doe-eyed grade school girl nervously passing a group of delinquents to get to her part time job at a convenience store, only to be accosted by her boss (who happens to be the Big Bad Wolf) for being late. Captions: My name is Aiuchi Machiko. I'm a normal grade schooler, but I've got a part time job! Chapter Title: All On My Oni! Captions: Super grown up, right? Unfortunately for me, it's simply the worst! I was tricked, I tell you! Totally Suckered! And of course, the worst part is... my conniving, no-good boss! Rex Dogsbody: Well well, what do we got here?! Machiko: ...What are you doing? Rex: Cleaning, obviously! I'd have had you do it, but you showed up LATE! What do I pay you for, huh? Machiko: But there was a mob of scary high schoolers out there! I didn't want to get wrapped up in anything bad, y'know? Rex: Hmm, that IS a problem. If this carries on I won't get my money's worth out of you...

Got feedback for my Negative Space entries! The advice was pretty helpful; declutter action scenes and don't overwhelm artists with long panel descriptions for the most part! However, I'm delighted to say the praise my writing received was absolutely glowing!
COMMERCIAL POTENTIAL: This has definite commercial potential for a younger adult readership. It’s got the energy of a webcomic with the structure of a manga — and a strong lead character who feels memorable. I could absolutely see this serialized or picked up. Your voice as a writer is bold, character-first, and joyfully weird in the best way. You’re balancing comedy, action, and emotional honesty with a strong handle on genre tropes. This is a wildly promising start. The voice, concept, and heart are all there. With a few small refinements, this could be a standout project. Can’t wait to see where it goes next!

What makes this weirder is that I've put it through google images, SauceNao and Tineye and I can't make any sense about where it comes from. The only thing I did find out is that Quentin Blake has the same avatar across regions as well. Maybe this is real?
Google reverse image search results for the anime girl avatar assigned to Quentin Blake that I posted in my previous skeet. There are a number of similar-ish results, but none that are an actual match or even the same character.

I had no idea acclaimed illustrator Quentin Blake was a cute anime oni girl until I saw this profile image on Amazon(.co.uk). I wonder how this happened?
