Initially, this was supposed to be a funny drawing of Aly being annoyed by birds in the morning, but I could not get the birds right, so here's her ready for a fight! And I had fun adding some iridescent paints.

Going back even further into the archives to when I was learning to use gouache. @cozykathryn.bsky.social your stories got me to try new things! First gouache and then ink!

My largest painting of the year so far (9x14.5'') after a looong break from art. This goes with the lastest chapter of my crime family novel I don't talk enough about. I post it on Scribblehub (though I'm open to suggestions to other places)
