Of the many examples of liberals absorbing the right-wing framing on cultural stuff, masking as eye roll–worthy virtue signaling rather than eminently sensible illness prevention and community care is one of the more absurd. “They’re requiring masks for NO REASON.” Could the reason be: science? 🤔

Well, exactly! It's just absurd that they only require masks (often inadequate ones) at certain times, often only after they've spread infection! Hospitals should protect patients against all preventable harms always, not only for a few days a year!
