Also I saw her first thing this morning! She ate more than half a small can of food, more treats, Churu, AND she even let me pet her a bit while she ate treats.
Her left eye seems a bit infected or at least very watery with pigmented tears. Maybe I have a chance of trapping her. Progress!

She did come back yesterday! She was mostly interested in crunchy treats, from a distance, but also accepted some Churu after I started dabbing it on the treats before I tossed them towards her. Eventually got close enough to lick from the tube! When she was done she stayed close but out of sight.

Tomorrow marks eight weeks since I suddenly lost my cat to cancer. I still miss him dearly. At least I'm not crying about it much anymore.
(Never mind my eyes getting damp as I write this.)
Sometimes it seems unreal that he was ever here. I guess it's necessary but I don't want him to fade away.

I will always remember that HE chose ME. He was a baby stray who showed up at my door on a bitterly cold January night fifteen years ago.
I already had a cat named Max who looked like him, greyer and darker. Charlie loved Max even when Max didn't reciprocate, & Charlie has always been pure love. ❤️

Well, I got the bad news today that I hoped wouldn't come.
Charlie has a sizable bladder mass, presumably cancer, and neither surgery nor chemotherapy are recommended by the vet.
I don't know how long we have together, but I am going to love him the best I can for as long as it makes sense to.

There are MANY more organizations cashing in on our hard-earned money. These entities are receiving huge sums, which raise serious questions about how taxpayer funds are being spent and who’s benefiting.
It’s time to hold these organizations accountable. American taxpayers deserve transparency. Enough is enough!
