The amount of people who see something bad happen and jump to "yes everyone should give up their privacy" is nuts.
NC’s mask ban had carve-outs for medical needs, and gave a lot of deference to law enforcement. Which makes me expect some eventual problem where a young healthy looking guy gets stopped for criminal masking but it turns out he is on anti-rejection meds
