But even if someone were to downplay the threatening nature of the above, he's clearly stating an intent to use personal information maliciously and doesn't care how it's obtained. That's the biggest possible red flag for managing an event which handles hundreds of people's information.

I don't really get or respect the concept of celebrities within furry, but people do seem to respond in an almost parasocial way towards the main director, I've seen it happen in groups. Maybe counting on that to ride it out?

That's from 2024? So the decision by then other directors to go into running an event with him was *after* actively defending him stalking and threatening people? It's not even a sunk-costs situation. Just irredeemable IMO.

I get that furries need to keep expectations of event runners reasonable and assume good intent by default. But then with some events I've seen legitimate concerns get deflected overly fiercely with "did u know you're criticising VOLUNTEERS" whiteknighting and never addressed. So there's a balance.

The more I look at your account, the more wary I am of the whole way the event runs. I'm not even sure untrained volunteer "security" should be doing bag searches, when real SIA guys are right there, but for them to assume the power to detain people too? Crazy stuff

I've seen two broad categories of response from Yorp people - some flatly deny any conflict exists and claim stories like the above are some sort of co-ordinated deep state wrecking tactic. The others are firmly team Corbyn and expect Sultana to acquiesce for the good of the party.

Yeah, I was sad I missed the first one, but with all this and their response (or lack of), I just don't feel I can support it. On paper it's spot-on the sort of event I wanted to see happening too, especially as I'd love to find some performing opportunities and just can't afford most cons.

Yeah, I'm sure he doesn't like that either, the only correct response is breathless admiration of his bold and selfless work as saviour of the fandom, or something like that.

He did a little spree when that true crime show came out, blocking anyone who expressed even quite mild criticism or doubt about it, even if they didn't mention him directly. Likely that?

I'm regrettably acquainted with some grassroots Your Party sorts on other social media, they're very focused on attacking Polanski and the Greens too, it's depressing to see.
