Massachusetts families and businesses need affordable, reliable energy.

We're teaming up with UMass Lowell to develop Advanced Nuclear and Fusion Energy Roadmaps that will explore how we can leverage these technologies to bring more power into the state and reduce costs.
A woman stands on a metal platform inside a research facility, leaning over railings near nuclear energy equipment. Text on the image reads: “Healey-Driscoll Administration Launches Advanced Nuclear and Fusion Energy Roadmaps with UMass Lowell. The roadmaps lay the groundwork for further research, manufacturing, and deployment of these technologies to help meet increasing electricity demand in New England.”

Right now, housing projects in Massachusetts can get stuck in environmental reviews for a year or more. We’re trying to change that. @massgovernor.bsky.social’s proposed MEPA reforms cut reviews down to a maximum of 30 days while setting strong streamlined environmental standards.

During our June heat wave, solar met about 20% of demand and saved consumers millions of dollars. As the federal government continues to take measures that will raise Americans’ energy bills and worsen public health, we will continue work to get more energy into Massachusetts.

The Trump Administration's threats to terminate Massachusetts’ $156 million Solar for All award would block an investment that will deliver hundreds of millions in household savings and create thousands of good-paying jobs across our state.

Trump threatens EPA’s $156 million Solar for All award to Massachusetts

The withdrawal of this EPA funding would strip Massachusetts of the potential for $372 million in household energy savings, 3,000 good-paying jobs, and 125 megawatts of energy production. “Solar is the fastest and cheapest way to bring affordable energy into Massachusetts. Affordability isn’t controversial – that's why states like Texas and Florida are building so much solar. And that’s why my administration has been working hard to deliver more affordable solar to our residents and businesses through new incentives and programs like Solar for All. This program is poised to lower energy bills for nearly 30,000 Massachusetts households and create thousands of jobs. We want to take an all-of-the-above approach to energy here in Massachusetts to increase supply and meet demand. We strongly urge the Trump Administration to abandon any plans to terminate the Solar for All grants.”

Just last week, we experienced flash flooding in Braintree, Quincy, Weymouth, and Boston, which left drivers stranded on washed-out roads. These events are becoming more dangerous and frequent.

@massgovernor.bsky.social’s Mass Ready Act will help us prepare for and avoid emergencies.
A collage of news headlines about flooding in Massachusetts is overlaid on a background image of a flooded street with a car tire submerged in water. The headlines read:

From The Boston Globe: "Heavy rain during morning commute floods I-93, temporarily closes part of Red Line, and prompts flash flood warnings"

From WCVB 5 ABC: "Dangerous flash flooding strands motorists, leaves Mass. highways underwater"

From Boston Herald: "Six inches of rain in just hours catch Massachusetts motorists off guard"

Below the headlines, text reads:
"Flooding is becoming more intense and frequent in Massachusetts.
Governor Healey’s Mass Ready Act makes sure our homes and businesses are prepared for the weather of today, and tomorrow."

An arrow on the bottom right suggests more content follows. "Mass Ready Act – Provisions on Flooding" with an icon of a road and water. Text lists key provisions of the act:

$641 million to fix and strengthen aging dams, culverts, seawalls, and roads to handle more rainfall and flooding

$315 million for town-led infrastructure projects

Establishes the Resilience Revolving Fund for local project funding

Fast-tracks permits for restoring salt marshes and floodplains

Adds members to the Board of Building Regulations and Standards to address climate risk and resilient design

Requires flood risk disclosures for renters and home buyers

The background features a scenic image of water, reinforcing the flood-related theme.
