Even when a full pilot gets aired, it may differ from how it originally was. For example, "Inspector Gadget" has FOUR VERSIONS of its pilot.
1. Jesse White version, the original voice for Gadget
2. Garry Owens version.
3. Don Adams version which also has changes to the music track and some of

is actually EIGHT episode. Rarely the air dates were reliable and that's because deadlines would often be missed due to retakes and such and material having to go back and forth overseas.

Also, first episode doesn't automatically mean it's the pilot. Actual pilots often went unaired and weren't

"Some Enchanted Evening", but it got pushed back because the producers didn't like cartoony animation style so a lot of it had to be redone. 99% of the time you can see the proper order in the production code. So in this instance, the premiere episode, "Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire"

First aired episode isn't necessarily the actual first. Sometimes things get pushed back for variety of reasons. For example, Simpsons first episode was supposed to be

Tips for animation reviewers out there:
-If it ain't moving, it ain't animated.
-If you're talking about the way character looks, you're talking about the way its drawn, not animated.
-If you're talking about the general look of the show/movie, you're talking about the art style, not animation.
