Ok we went to the Harry Potter exhibition in Salt Lake last week. It was awesome, but don’t waist your money on the VIP tickets. There is literally no difference 😫

Being a travel designer truly is the best job for ADHD. Every day brings new, exciting opportunities. New clients, new places, new needs. #travel #travelplanner

I’ve learned there’s three types of people when it comes to vacation planning:

1. The person who already knows exactly what they want
2. The person who has no idea what they want and goes back and forth a million times
3. The person who on just shows up and calls in a panic bc they don’t have hotel

Don’t let “bucket list” culture pressure you into trips that don’t work for your body. There’s no right way to travel.

Summer travel doesn’t have to be chaotic. It can be slow, intentional, and soft — and still unforgettable.

ADA compliant ≠ actually accessible. We deserve clarity, not checkbox compliance.

I used to struggle so much with accepting that my challenges and access needs were real. It’s so easy to feel like it’s all in your head. But I recently started using aids like communication cards, a cane/wheelchair, extra time, etc. and it has made a world of difference. Less pain, more confidence.

“If your condition flares, I don’t cancel the trip — I adjust the plan. Travel should work with your body, not against it.”

We checked into a hotel last night that advertised being accessible. This hotel has been a perfect example of why you call ahead and ask questions. No step-free entry, staff didn’t know what a service dog is, accessible parking was blocked by a dumpster. The list goes on! #travel #disabled

What’s one thing you’d add to every airport if you could?

I’m not just a travel agent—I’m a travel advocate. I fight for your needs, your comfort, and your access, NOT just commission.

How do you recharge while traveling?

Accessible travel can also be eco-friendly. What do you do to travel in a sustainable way that still meets your needs?

I carry a metal straw and reusable water bottle. This allows me to avoid waste while meeting my mobility needs.

Accessibility doesn't stop at ramps. It includes sesory, cognitive, communication, and emotional needs too.

You’re not too much.

You’re not a burden.

The system just wasn’t built for your needs—but we can still work around it.

Packing Tip: use vacuum pack bags, organized by outfits. This helps create extra space and reduce overstimulation!

Tip: Always pack your meds, noise cancelling headphones, and key documents in your carry on—not your checked bag! #travel #accessibletravel #accessibility

You’re not “difficult” for needing accommodations. You’re just ask for equality.

Accessibility isn’t a bonus. It’s a right.
April 3, 2025 at 11:03 PM
Always call the hotel. Don’t trust “ADA accessible” in the booking notes. Ask REAL questions:
- Step-free entry?
- Fragrance free?
- Grab bars?
- Staff emergency assistance training?

Accessibility it’s not one-size-fits-all. Ask & advocate.
