Though Lettie is still an outlier

While other luna moths can see visions of varying natures, Lettie can ONLY see misfortune.

And B. The strength of ALL luna moths' magic comes from the moon - the fuller it is, the stronger they are, and the opposite is also true.

Their visions can trigger up to 3 times a month on or around a full moon, and the fuller it is, the clearer the vision (tho not necessarily more accurate) 👁️✨

Her magic is unstable because A. She had her wings removed, which severed her organic connection to it. That doesn't magically fix itself just because she's learned how to summon her wings as an elf about a decade later after their removal-

A few notes however - the top tier of wings are small and thin as a result of being half fae

Her "ghost" wings are noncorporeal, so they cannot be touched or used to fly, and they can only appear on clear full moon nights 🌕✨

I have actual paragraphs of lore regarding how her magic works and the history of the luna moth fae, but that's probably for another time 🤫✨
