🦉I'm disappointed I didn't have a good camera handy but I got this shot of a Pileated Woodpecker eating Poke Sallet (aka pokeweed) berries here at Jaime's Way this morning with my phone.
If you or I noshed on those berries, we'd quickly regret it. 🤮

It may be deemed invasive but it took us five years of trying to get this established on a walk-through arbor at our previous home, a cottage down on the coast of THE GULF OF MEXICO. We loved it.
