Each has it's place really. If you want tactical minutae, rules heavy is important. If you want narrative, you want rules light to give everyone enough breathing room. Both have their purpose and part in the hobby. Also remember kids: You cannot play TTRGs wrong. Anything goes, when fun is had.

I am so deep in 3everGM territory that i do not even read player material anymore, unless absolutely necessary to make a ruling.
If i get the opportunity to play (which is hyper rare). I just follow the flow.
